Gay Pride 2018

I was invited to a most fabulous Cabaret show in Dublin the night before Pride and it was THE BEST show I've ever seen. I was already excited about seeing the creatively astounding group: Undercurrent. I knew it would be good. I wasn't prepared for how good it would be. I mean the third act had a standing ovation and it only got better.
Well... three hours of sleep that night and a very sticky, warm and muggy wake up at 7am the next day and I have to say, I wasn't 100% totally psyched about going out into another scorching hot day to work.
Not only did I have one of the best days so far this year, but it was up there one of the best days of my life. The sheer numbers of people who came out in support, who dressed head to toe in fabulous rainbows and all the positive energy that was abundant.
Myself and a great friend, Elva, were equipped with brushes, glitter and rainbow facepaint, ready to cover the happy shiny faces throughout the day. It was stellar from 11am till 7pm. We were in the think of the beaming crowds. We met so many characters, heard so many wonderful stories, laughed, danced and cheered along with the loudest of them.
