Living Statue

I found myself in the week leading up to Valentines with a suddenly packed agenda. Everything was last minute and frantic but I knew I had everythinhg under control. So when a friend and amazing performer asked me to do a spot of bodypainting for him I neatly slotted it into a few hours between this and that.
I've never been into city hall, and probably most of you never have either. But it's a public building. You can hold events there (weddings/private functions/photoshoots) and there are exhibitions downstairs. It was to one of these events we had been specially brought in for. We set up near the back, behind a gargantuan column and after having a good gawk at statues and architecture, we knuckled down to painting.
I was very happy how close to the colour of his costume I came, if not matcing it bang on. I surprised myself with the marbling cracks and flaws in living rock and finally, to put a cherry on the icing, we were rigged up with a bit of spot lightling that smoothed everything off and allowed the statue to best be displayed.
