I leave the mouth area unpainted in smaller children as they have a tendancy to eat the paint straight away and ruin all my hard work. Red is also hard to wash off initially, warn parents!

It helps to have a wide flat brush to fill in the wings and keep the points pointy. For small children, don't paint on the eyelids.

Again, green is a tough colour to wash out and may stain skin when left on for a few hours. Mind to paint on the white mouth before painting any green.

This is easier than it looks. Draw a ' H ' and extend the crossbar. Use metallic red and gold if you have them. Adding white shines and dark contours helps with the plating effect.

This design has a lot of variations. You can paint a star or an 'A' in the middle. You can also include a chin-strap for the more modern version.

This is popular even though Superman has no mask... duh...
The superman symbol is good on the shoulder, forehead or cheek.
