Animals
I start from the lightest colour to the darkest and always add the nose last then dots & glitter.
To simplify for small children, don't paint the mouth area or eyelids.
TIGER
Tiger
lion
A straight, tapered or curly striped mane all look great on different faces. Painting them all in the same colour saves time.

Lion
Cheetah eyes
Looks great on "big kids" especially with lots of glitter. This can be modified to use different Big Cat designs and suit any colour scheme.
Cheetah Eyes
Butterfly
Any combination of colours looks great especially putting the darker shade on the outside. Try outlining in colours that aren't black for a challenge. A clear gem looks great for a head and you can never have enough glitter.
Butterfly
puppy
Can be adapted to do a Fox (orange), a Wolf, Husky or Corgi (pointed ears) or a Dalmation (black & white spots). Any breed is possible!
Puppy
Adding a bit of black to a silver makes a great gunmetal colour to paint a Wolf or Werewolf in. For the latter, add blood on the fangs.

Bunny Rabbit
Metallic pink looks beautiful in this design. For simplicity don't add the carrot.
